1:50 pm - Nudism

I am enjoying my naturist lifestyle. I just wish there were more places closeby that were tolerant of nudism. It would be great to go swimming or grocery shopping nude.

So I usually leave my German Shepard outside when I'm going to be gone for a long period of time because he tends to destroy stuff. Today I did not because it was cold and rainy, and he does not have an undercoat so he can get hypothermia. So after I get back from going out with my friends, he had not torn up anything, but he had gotten sick (from his rear end) all over the carpet. ALL OVER! I mean a 20 square ft area. And not just in the main room, no in the hallway too! I was planning on renting the carpet cleaner Monday, but I had to get it tonight because it was HORRID. I like him, but I don't know how much more I can handle from him.

6:34 pm - Dreams
It's not often I dream, or remember my dream, but last night I had one that I remembered, probably because I woke up before it really ended.

I was on a bus and here was a semi-dirty looking yet cute girl there. I guessed she might be a prostitute and asked if she had sex for money. She sighed and said, "I can do that". I asked her to walk with me for a while when we got off the bus and asked her about her life. I don't remember details, just that she was homeless and 15 and only got through the 5th grade. She led me to where she "lived". It was a utility room in the bus station. I took her to eat and she ate the food hungrily. (She was such a skinny thing). We got on the bus again and the bus driver told her that she had too many personal items in the station and would have to remove them all. So I made a decision. I told her I have a spare bedroom and if she would like to she could live there for a while until she could afford to live on her own. I brought her home and as she got a tear in her eye of what she thought she as about to have to do I told her... I have no interest in sex with you... but there are rules. I showed her the spare room and the bed. I told her the rules were 1) NO drugs 2) You have to go back to school, and 3) you have to help around the house as any child of her age does. She nodded her agreement and I noticed she was shivering, and told her I would draw her a nice hot bath. I asked her if there was anything she needed back at her old living space, and she said there was so I told her to go get it and the bath would be ready for her when she got back.

Then the logical me thought "I have to go to work... there would be some strange girl in my house while I was gone... I could be robbed while at work... I'll have to ask the neighbors to watch the house" Then I woke up worried.

2:32 pm - My dog is gone. (Edit Found)
Baby Girl is missing again. This time I have no clue how she got out. There was no hole in the fence. I fear I may never see her again.

*edit* I called the closest Vets office to see if maybe she was there and she was. Someone turned her in there. She now has a collar that she will wear all the time with my info on it.

current mood: happy

My little dog Sasha has been sick the last few days. She was vomiting about 4 days ago, hen 3 days ago she had the runs, then yesterday the runs turned to runs with blood, then just blood, then runs with blood again. I took her to the vet today cause she hadn't gotten much better. Luckily she just has too many of her own bacteria and that is what is causing it. So She's on meds now, and will hopefully be better in a few days.

Today is such a black day. I will avoid any and all news at.all.costs. I can't even begin to tell you how much this stupid inauguration is pissing me off. I will however say it has nothing to do with it being a liberal democrat, and everything to do with the people that are worshiping him.

11:39 am - Election '08
Well, I officially mailed in my ballot. I'm so glad this election will be over soon. I'm so sick of hearing the whining and bickering from both sides. None of the Presidential candidates were anything special. I had to go with the lesser of the evils. Now that the election is over I think I can finally start reading all my friend's journals again. I've been filtering out friends that make political statements because most are not of the same viewpoint as mine, and it was becoming upsetting. Anyway, I've done my patriotic duty. Make sure you do yours. :)

7:16 pm - Dreams
It isn't often I remember a dream, nor even realize I had any, unless I am awakened by the dream itself or some outside force (alarm). Well, last night the dream itself woke me up. I was dreaming I was getting married. The name of the girl I was marrying was mentioned in the dream, and I put a face with the name. Well for some reason I hadn't seen her since high school. So I head to where we were to be married. It was an SCA (http://www.sca.org/) event. I had a full beard still (as I have now) and my Mom told me my future wife wouldn't like that. Anyway I finally go to meet my bride and the person that is there is NOT the person I was thinking it was in my head. And the shock of that woke me up. I was so happy thinking I was getting married too...

1:09 am - Raw foods only?
My roommate tells me the other day that if he lived with someone else he would like to try a raw foods diet (not as in weight loss but as in just what is eaten.) I thought about that for a few days and I thought that I might be able to do that, and it could probably help me lose some weight, so I told him that next grocery trip we will buy just raw foods and try it.

Then last night he told me that one way to help you reach your goals is not so much rewarding yourself if you reach those goals, but punishing yourself if you don't.

He gave the example of a friend of his that was VERY liberal who decided if he didn't reach the goal he was going for he would donate $5000 to a very conservative republican's campaign. Well, he ended up reaching his goal.

That got me thinking... that might work for me. I was thinking I would set a goal weight for myself, and if I don't reach that goal, I will donate money to the thing I despise the most in the world... Planned Parenthood. And if I reach that goal I will use that money to buy myself something, like a new computer. I am SURE this could motivate me.

Of course although it would motivate me, I don't think I could live with myself knowing that I helped to kill babies if I failed to reach my goal... So I think I'll have to come up with another punishment.

9:45 am - Adventures in home ownership.
I bought my house back in October and moved in the house in November. I think it was in about December I noticed a switch in the kitchen had "Disposal" taped to it with the tape keeping the switch in the off position. I didn't try it because I thought it might not work.

About the March/April time frame I asked my neighbors who were friends with the old owners if they could contact the old owners to find out why it was taped. Well the neighbors were never able to get a hold of them and said I should just try it and see if it worked. So I took off the tape and turned it on. It seemed to be doing something so I thought maybe it worked. I put some food down it and it seemed to work. Well I didn't use it much so I just taped it up.

Fast forward to last week. We had been scraping food down the disposal and when I turned it on, the sound was there, but it didn't do anything to the foodstuffs. Turns out it never worked to begin with. So I decided I would see if I could replace it myself. I figured I'd just have to unplug it and disconnect it from the plumbing and put in the new one.

Problem... The cord went into a hole in the counter to the place behind the dishwasher. I thought to myself how stupid that was and so now I will have to remove the dishwasher to unplug it. So this weekend I removed the dishwasher and...

...The cord went into a hole in the wall and up to the switch. (UGH). So I put the dishwasher back and figured I'd have to either hire someone or remove the switch and disconnect the wiring myself. Then later in the weekend my roommate washed the dishes... well the water didn't drain. It had drained slow before so I left it and figured it would drain over time... a day later it was still there. I went and bought some drain cleaner and over about 8 hrs it did finally slowly drain. After that, I knew I had to replace that disposal ASAP.

Well, last night at work I was telling a co-worker about this dilemma and he gave me some home improvement websites. I watched a video on how to replace a disposal, and I set to the task.

As it turns out, you can disconnect the disposal from the power at the disposal. You just have to open a compartment underneath where the wires are and remove the wire caps. So, anyway I managed to replace my garbage disposal today without A) Electrocuting myself or B) having any leaks under the sink when I was done.

I'm so proud of myself.

I think my dad would be proud too.
